Fall is here!!! October has been super ham packed! We started the month of with fall camp! All of our Denton FOCUS students went over to Mt. Lebananon and spent just 24 hours away from Denton!  That 24 hours were packed with time with their core, games, snacks, and worship. Fall camp is a great opportunity for new students to really get plugged in and make friends in our community; where friendships are already formed, there is space to deepen those friendships! While there, we had two sermons that introduces our theme of “All In”! We talked about not only do we need to be all in for God, but we also talked about all in being about diversity and just as the kingdom of God is diverse and full of people from every tongue and every nation, we too should be striving to make disciples of all nations! Hey my friends!! It is finally October and fall has officially arrived! September has been a super packed month. At the beginning of the month, the Denton staff went to Altitude, a trampoline park here in Denton! We had such a blast getting to bond outside "work". It really brought out the kid in all of us! We were doing flips and diving into foam pits and playing fun trampoline games we use to play as kids! I have been so blessed to work with such a fun and supportive staff! They have loved me so well and working with them has been a treat! Story Time! Story time is a fun outreach event that we started doing this month! We are trying different things for outreach because UNT is such a diverse campus and we ant to reach out to every student on our campus! Wowie! August was a crazy packed month! During the "First Flight Week" (a week where freshmen come on campus a week before classes start so they can go to seminars and get used to the campus before school starts) our FOCUS students were on campus every day to meet new students! I was so encouraged by our students! They were so eager to meet new people as well as continually showing boldness when asking someone new to be their friend! To kick off welcome week, we had two days of helping freshmen move into their dorms on Move In day! Not only did we get to help their move in go smoother than expected, we met so many people that wanted to be our friend and learn more about Jesus! Every night, we had events that allowed our students to interact with and get to know all of the new people we were meeting every day! Hey Friends! August is FINALLY here! All of the craziness of the summer is finally beginning to settle as we prepare for welcome week and the start of school. First and foremost, I just want to thank you for supporting me; whether that is financially, through prayer, or both!
