January Ministry Update

Happy New Year my friends!!

I hope you all had such a wonderful holiday season! My holidays involved driving back and forth to Austin to visit with my family. We had some much doing all of the holiday things such as: seeing Christmas lights, decorating sugar cookies and making gingerbread houses. Then, I came back to Denton for a few days because my best friends got married!! It was such a sweet ceremony and I cried SO much because I got to see my best friends in the entire world get to make such a holy covenant with each other before the Lord. They have worked so hard in the last few years to work hard at their relationship and really  work to honor God and each other and I have had the honor to watch them grow and be apart of their relationship from start of finish.

I get to work with the best people around! This is the 2018-2019 FOCUS apprentices. I love getting to take classes with these friends. Not only do we get to deepen our relationships with each other and other staff members, but we get to learn about God and how to minister to our students. This ten month apprenticeship is flying by so quickly but we still have so much to learn and so much ministry to experience.
On our last day before our Christmas break began, the apprentices got to hang out. Went to an arcade called "Nickelrama" before our staff Christmas party.

These are my nieces and nephews that I got to spend so much time with over the break. They are growing up so fast but I can't wait to see the people they grow to be.

Staff Retreat!

Well, our staff holiday break has come to an end but we get to start it being solely focused on the lord and really coming back to refocus our minds on our savior and the mission and the vision the lord has given us. We were able to spend time with each other and have fun before the semester begins.

The sun was setting while on a walk and talk with some fellow staff members.

Playing Jungle gets really intense and some people start getting really spicy.

Prayer Requests:

1. Our students will be returning to school soon, so please pray for them and our campuses as they fit up and as they get back into their routines.

2. Winter Camp is a week and a half away! This retreat is a retreat where everyone from all of our campuses will be together, worshipping the lord together and learning from our guest speaker.

Thank you for all of your love and support in this journey!
~Brittany

  1. Hey Brittany! I love seeing the pics of this year's apprentice class. You guys are such a joy to work with, and I'm glad to know that you are all developing close friendships. That is a really precious gift!
I will be praying that Winter Camp is a time of meaningful connection with God and others for everyone who comes - this is an opportunity for serious life change for some of our students, and I'm thrilled to see what God has in store.
